The first American Community Members are about to board!
The first American TYPO3 community members are about to board T3SAIL10! Really great guys!
For international guests from all over the world it is obvious to take the chance and combine T3SAIL10 with the T3CON10 in Frankfurt, Germany which starts part just 5 days after T3SAIL.
Our hint: Travel via Frankfurt or Rome to Olbia. Think of visit some of the great European places like Rome, Paris, Prague before heading for Frankfurt and T3CON10! Nice side effect: you are relaxed and accustomed to the Middle European summer time when arriving in Frankfurt for T3CON :-).
- T3SAIL10 (Olbia, Sardinia, Italy) 18th Sept - 25th Sept 2010
- T3CON10 (Frankfurt/Main, Germany) 30th Sept - 2nd Oct 2010

Decision Support: Cabin or Bunk?
I recently got an email with the following question: "I don't know anybody there and coming on my own, should I book a cabin? Or is it just "normal" to share a cabin (booking a bunk)? It just feels a little strange to share a cabin with someone you do not know at all... Can you tell a little bit of how this works out?"
Actually we try to separate the snoring ones from the non-snorers in the first place. Also we try to have ladys-only-cabins. But we cannot garantee this. There are two types of cabins with double beds and with bunk beds. If we will have a mixed cabin, we would try to get you in a bunk bed cabin.
Anyway I would not worry too much. It is "sailing" and sharing a cabin just goes with it. Be aware that you are not the only one with a cabin partner you do not know, your cabin partner will be in the very same situation ;-). And as everybody is aware of this, respect and kindness are the top qualities everybody has to practice on board. No way around this. That is sailing :-).
Of course you can book yourself a cabin on your own, too. This way you have more space and more privacy if you want it and need it. This is why we offer this possibility.
Finally: if you do not like surprises then go ahead and bring a cabin partner with you!
Please leave your sailing experiences (as advice for newcomers) and further questions here as comment!
Fair winds,
Peter

Destination and Date is set for T3SAIL10
After a great T3SAIL09 in the Baltic Sea we will go for the warm Mediterranian Sea. From September, 18th to September 25th 2010 we will be sailing the seas round northern Sardinia, southern Corsica and the Maddalena Archipelago, a national park.
This destination will offer us spectacular views, the cliff line of Corsica and white sand beaches of Sardinia. Have a look at the Destination page for more details!
Booking is not open yet, but you can already put yourself on a list, so we will inform you as soon as booking is online. That will be round December 2009.
By the way: it will be pretty easy to get there. Olbia Airport is near by and is served by multiple low cost airlines.
Stay tuned & fair winds!
